01The short version
| Situation | What happens |
|---|---|
| You cancel before work starts | Advance refunded in full, less any third-party costs already committed on your behalf. |
| You cancel during an act | You pay for work performed and costs committed to the date of cancellation. Any advance above that is refunded. |
| The Descent (Act I) has started | Non-refundable — the diagnostic is the work, and it begins on day one. |
| A milestone has been signed off | That milestone is final and non-refundable. |
| Monthly retainer (The Reign) | 30 days’ written notice after the six-month minimum; the current paid month is not refunded. |
| We cannot deliver | If DRSTY cancels for reasons within our control, we refund fees paid for work not delivered. |
02How to cancel
Email hello@drsty.in from the address on your agreement, with the subject “Cancellation”. Either party may end a project on fifteen days’ written notice, or immediately for an uncured material breach, as set out in the Service Agreement. Cancellation takes effect on the date we receive your email.
03Retainers
- The minimum term is six months, then month to month.
- Either party may end it on thirty days’ written notice, effective at the end of a paid month.
- Capacity is allocated monthly and does not carry forward; unused hours lapse and are not refunded.
- A retainer can be paused once in twelve months, for up to one month, with fifteen days’ notice.
04What is never refundable
- Work already performed and milestones already accepted.
- The Descent once started.
- Third-party costs paid on your behalf — media spend, licences, fonts, stock, hosting, domains, printing and production.
- Change Requests already approved and carried out.
05How refunds are paid
Approved refunds are processed within 7 working days of confirmation, to the original payment method or bank account used. Depending on your bank, it can take a further 5–10 working days to appear. GST refunds follow the applicable credit-note rules.
